The Problem

Skills Council Canada wanted to create a platform that would help users discover career opportunities, identify skill gaps, and receive personalized recommendations. However, they lacked the necessary technology to integrate AI-driven solutions that could process extensive data from job listings and match users with relevant careers. The challenge was to build a system that could efficiently analyze thousands of job listings from the Oasis platform and generate real-time, personalized career advice based on individual profiles.

Solution

To address this challenge, Skills Council Canada partnered with Notionhive to develop an AI-powered GPS system called CareerGPS. This innovative platform was designed to:

• Streamline User Registration: This allows users to easily register and upload their CVs for analysis.
• Provide Personalized Career Advice: Match user profiles with over 30,000 job listings from the Oasis platform to offer tailored career recommendations.
• Identify Skill Gaps: Analyze user profiles to identify skill gaps and suggest relevant courses and assessments.‍
• Integrate with LMS: Seamlessly connect with the Skills Council Canada LMS for tracking learning progress and job applications.
